Note: Sakara is the sweetest old mare who is looking for a home as a pasture buddy or for light riding. She leads well, takes medicine and dewormer well, is good for the vet and stands to be groomed.

Her current foster Autumn as been working with her to get her under saddle. Sakara is doing excellent with the task. She has accepted the saddle with no problem and is riding great in a halter and lead rope. We don't think she needs to be doing intense riding at her age but she could do great for someone who wants a horse to ride around their property every once and a while.

She has an "Eeyore" type personality and doesn't want any trouble or drama. She just wants her meals and peace and quiet.

Because of her age and conformation Sakara will need nutritional support beyond just turn out and hay. She can still chew hay but we additionally supplement with soaked alfalfa pellets and a complete senior feed as well as additional topline support.
