Solutions to Avoid Intake
A West Virginia Horse Network Program
The STAI grant (Solutions to Avoid Intake) allows us to provide assistance and support to horse owners who just need a short term helping hand in order to keep to their horses at home rather than surrendering their horses to the rescue.
What you need to know:
Horses eligible for participation in this program will be horses whose owners have contacted WVHN to surrender them, horses whose owners have requested help and in some instances horses previously adopted from West Virginia Horse Network who are at risk of being returned because of a short term financial need. Assistance will be provided in the form of Basic Care (hay, feed), Farrier Care, Routine Vetting (floats, vaccinations, deworming), Medications for chronic but manageable conditions (such as Cushings) and if needed, euthanasia.
Your support is crucial to our rescue efforts!
West Virginia Horse Network is seeking your support. As a 501(c)3 non-profit horse rescue, we depend on funding from grants, sponsorships, and donations. We kindly ask you to consider contributing to our mission. Learn more about other donations HERE.
